In August 1986, God really began dealing with me concerning women in ministry. I spoke with
various preachers and pastors to find out why they didn’t approve of women having the position
of a pastor or a preacher. Most of these men felt that some women act like men while others
simply try to defend themselves and never give the church anything edifying. I knew that it was
time for me to get busy.
It took 3 years for me to finally get the ministry going. It started in my home with intercessory
prayer and Bible study. There were women from various denominations - COGIC, Apostolic,
Baptist, and Seventh-day-Adventist. We were a core of women coming together to better
ourselves for our local church ministry. God sent deliverance, broke strongholds, and sent
prophetic messages. We didn’t look at denominations; we simply taught Jesus.
Through prayer and perseverance, God has shown me, that we can make a difference in the
lives of women. The Bible says that Jesus had women who supported His ministry in both labor
and finance. There was a woman who anointed Jesus for death. There were three women and
one man at the foot of the cross. Paul says in Philippians 4:3,” I entreat thee also, true yoke of
fellowship - help those women which labor with me in the gospel.” This indicates that Paul
also had women working in his ministry.
WWFCM is composed of holy, anointed, knowledge seeking women of God. It is our endeavor
to give hope to the poor, to heal the brokenhearted, preach deliverance to the captives, and
freedom to those in bondage. (Isaiah 61:1)
WWFCM began in Chicago. We currently have chapters in Dallas, Houston, and Philadelphia.
It is our desire to establish chapters throughout the United States and abroad.

Our purpose it to encourage, motivate and inspire women of God to get stimulated so that they
can go back to their local churches charged and ready to work in the area of ministry that God
calls them. Whether it is foreign mission, prison ministry, hospital ministry, homeless ministry
or neighborhood witnessing, it is our mission to bring out the best in every woman.
It is our goal to have a home for teenaged mothers, homeless, drug addicted parents and abused
children. It is unfortunate that the victims of these circumstances must turn to the world rather
than the church for help. We will offer 24 hour counseling, 24 hour prayer lines, intercessory
prayer, lectures and workshops.
It is our endeavor to not only support women in ministry but to also remind them that as a
woman, they must maintain their femininity.
Women Working for Christ Ministries is an outreach designed to bring women into the
realization of their full potential in ministry.
